Small Apartment? You can still decorate

Oh, the struggle of a small apartment. You know I know how it is (missed by apartment tour? Find it here). I always felt like putting together a whole Christmas tree was too much for a single gal living in a tiny apartment. Still, I always manage to make my place homey and holiday ready with a few simple tricks and tips. It does not require that much effort, money or time and it makes all the difference in the world.

  1. Find alternatives to a Christmas tree. I usually go to a local home store (like V de V) and buy a little Christmas tree that can fit in a plant pot. Then, I display it in my living room on my marble coffee table. This year, I added LED lights on it and I turn it on when it gets dark outside (at 4 pm, ew).

2. Candles candles candles. Create a DIY candle like this one above (simple yet cute) or buy Holiday candles at your favorite store. They make your apartment smell supa nice and their color/packaging counts as a Christmas deco.

3. Create your own Garland. Take your Sunday afternoon off to listen to Michael’s Bublé Christmas album and DIY your very own Garland. Do it with friends for more fun. There is a great DIY here to try.

4. Make your house smell like Cookies. Do not have time to bake cookies? Use a diffuser and make your apartment smell like if you did. I have a soft spot for the NEST festive dispenser trio (one is called Sugar cookie, I mean!). Find it here or below.
